Personal Information

Kristine Pearson is the Chief Executive of Lifeline Energy and a serial Social Entrepreneur who has been invovled with the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurshp of World Economic Forum since 2003. She enjoys mentoring young African entrepreneurs as I had the benefit of great mentoring and believe in paying it forward.

She founded Lifeline Energy, the world’s only non-profit social enterprise that designs, manufactures and distributes power-independent MP3s and radios for the humanitarian sector.  Their products provide information and education access to rural and marginalised communtities for group listening.  Operating mainly in sub-Saharan Africa with international and local NGOs, UN agencies and governments, she is invovled in communications projects across all major development sectors and in emergency response.

Her base is South Africa, however, she spends significant time in East Africa. In all, she has traveled to 102 countries, 34 of which are in Africa.
