Dr Ashma is Specialist Registrar in General Adult Psychiatry. She obtained the MRCPsych degree in 2013. Her experience spans across child & adolescent, learning disability, eating disorders, forensic psychiatry and perinatal psychiatry and old age psychiatry.

Alok Medikepura Anil is the Director of Next Big Innovation Labs (NBIL), a deep tech life sciences company focused on utilising its proprietary 3D Bioprinting platform to develop solutions such as 3D Bioprinted Skin, Organ-on-a-Chip, Clean Meat.

Alok is a member of the Global Shapers Community and WEF Expert Network. An engineer with strong knowledge and background of using technology to bridge people and enable a move towards a more socially inclusive society, where no one is left behind.

Kristine Pearson is the Chief Executive of Lifeline Energy and a serial Social Entrepreneur who has been invovled with the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurshp of World Economic Forum since 2003. She enjoys mentoring young African entrepreneurs as I had the benefit of great mentoring and believe in paying it forward.

She founded Lifeline Energy, the world’s only non-profit social enterprise that designs, manufactures and distributes power-independent MP3s and radios for the humanitarian sector.  Their products provide information and education access to rural and marginalised communtities for group listening.  Operating mainly in sub-Saharan Africa with international and local NGOs, UN agencies and governments, she is invovled in communications projects across all major development sectors and in emergency response.

Her base is South Africa, however, she spends significant time in East Africa. In all, she has traveled to 102 countries, 34 of which are in Africa.

Priyanka is an Engineer turned Liberal Arts enthusiast – she is a Young India Fellow, a Global Shaper of the World Economic Forum, and a Mentor of Change, Atal Tinkering Labs of Government of India. Priyanka currently works as a Solutions Architect at Darwinbox, to drive solutions by ensuring strategic People Management gaps & painpoints are addressed through the product. Before this, Priyanka led Indian Operations and Growth for L20, a USA based Tech startup built, specifically to manage, grow, and engage the membership of Non-Profits. She has been fortunate to design interventions for Governments, Global Foundations and institutions- some of her interesting projects include designing a women’s startup incubator and a leadership lab, implementing skill initiatives.

Surbhi Rastogi started her journey as a writer by penning down stories for her children around simple messages which she wanted to convey to them, as she found storytelling to be much more impactful medium than well…lectures! Hence her first story ‘The Little Girl Who Healed Herself’ came into being, and was very well received. Now she tells stories for a living. Amongst other things.

Subsequently, her second story ‘My Step Daughter’s First Period’ became viral with over 710K views (and counting!) on Momspresso, and there has been no looking back since. Having previously worked in various organisations across the globe like Deloitte Consulting, Coca Cola India Inc., GE Capital Europe and Infosys, she is currently working with AIWMI, a financial education start-up, and writes mainly women’s and children’s fiction and non-fiction pieces, feminist opinion-based ones being her favourite genre currently.

She has won various awards like Orange Flower Award 2018 from Women’s Web, was among the Burgundy Achievers 2018-Digital Women Awards from SheThePeople TV, Top Blogger of the Month Award from Momspresso for two consecutive months, Super Blogger Award by Kalamopedia, and multiple awards for her 100 word stories.

Miss Ndooka is motivated to solve societal problems through entrepreneurship and legal innovation. She is committed to improve the state of the world through driving policy and law. She believes the two can be used to advance technology in Africa and influence socio-economic development. Her main area of practice is International Trade and Investment.
As the Policy and Advocacy Manager of Global Shapers she is leading the Open Africa Initiative. This is an initiative of African Global Shapers that seeks to promote greater cultural and economic regional integration hoping to improve intra-Africa Trade and the opening of African Corridors through adoption of modern technologies and use of renewable energies. The movement also advocates for a visa free Africa.
She is empowering young entrepreneurs by offering affordable legal services through her community called the Start-up Clinic that is under The Techvillage. She works with young entrepreneurs who run solution based tech start-ups. The Clinic offers free to affordable legal consultancy on environmental law, intellectual property, compliance, tax law, company registration, agreement drafting and negotiations, tender applications and investment broking. In my recent engagement, i introduced Graph DB as a way of radically optimising a supply chain planning solution and it has gone live. I have also successfully pursuaded key stakeholders to enable org changes to deliver better value and employee motivation.

I believe every problem can be answered by a digital solution; from automated systems to AI enabled Digital Police. I will be motivated by roles that allow me to engineer positive changes to society, human and animal lives and environment.
